FAQ's
1) How can I use a bar code EPS in my desktop publishing package?
Place the bar code EPS in your desktop publishing package as a usual picture:
Quark Xpress: Import Illustration ("apple-E" or "CTRL-E")
Adobe Illustrator: Place... (as placed EPS, don't open)
Pagemaker: Place... ("apple-D or "CTRL-D")
2) Will the corner marks stay around the code?
The corner marks are only used as a tool for correct placing the code, they won't appear on the final film.
3) Why is my print out different from my screen-picture?
The screen-image is not exactly the same as the code on the film, because it depends upon the used image setter resolution. The image on film is much more detailed than the screen-picture.
4) Why do I sometimes have text through my bar code EPS?
Laser Proof : The code has been made using a low resolution. (For example a test on a 600 dpi laser printer)
Barcode Scaled : You scaled the bar code (see question 6)
Barcode Rotated : You rotated the bar code in a wrong angle (see question 6)

5) What is the minimum image setter resolution in order to obtain a correct bar code EPS?
Bar code EPS files need to be run on the image setter with at least 1200 dpi. For optimal result we advise using 2400 dpi or higher.
6) Can I scale or rotate the bar code EPS?
It is important that you don't scale the bar code EPS. Rotating the code can only be done in steps of 90 degrees (90/180/270/360 degrees). Degrees within are not allowed.
If you scale the bar code EPS anyway you will see barcode scaled through the code.
If you place the code under a non approved angle you will see barcode rotated through the code.

7) What is the difference between a bar code EPS and a FilmMaster?
A FilmMaster is produced using special developed machines with a resolution of 5000d dpi. Each produced FilmMaster it is checked on a Film Verifier and comes with a test report. This ensures you about the quality of a bar code on your products.
A bar code EPS gives you the same ensurance in digital form. The bar code EPS is made just as a FilmMaster unique for you with your specific settings (such as image setter resolution and print process). Only with a correct produced digital bar code EPS you are sure about the quality! Our software makes the bar code EPS accurate up to a one thousands of a millimeter, therefor you will never experience any problems.
